Geocache Description:

The adventurous counterpart to Sheepshead, reaching this cache requires a steep scramble up the granite dome's southern flank.

"Sheepdip" is a concoction in which sheep are bathed to kill parasites, but it also refers to strong whiskey identified as the former when the tax agents come calling. In my upbringing, "sheepdip" was also understood to mean stinky cologne, linament or bug repellent, and was sometimes used as a substitute for a four-letter-word as in he doesn't know sheepdip from shinola.

Now "Sheepdip" has another meaning: a pleasant flat spot above the bouldery drainages of Sheepshead's south ridge.

The terrain rating may be slightly high. It reflects obstacles encountered on the cache-placement outing, which was an exploration of the steep south and east flanks of the peak. A direct assault may be easier. But bring your best rock-scrambling skills or you may find yourself in serious sheepdip.
