This unique cache is designed to be inviting for geocachers to repeatedly hunt and find this cache each and every month since, not only will the final cache location periodically change, but the contents and theme of the cache are updated at the beginning of every other month to reflect the current month’s holiday and/or special event.
Welcome to the Happy Holiday Cache! The cache that never stays the same! Many caches stay in one place and the contents, over time, tend to look the same from cache to cache. We wanted to create a dynamic cache that geocachers can look forward to hunt for again and again. The result is the Happy Holiday Cache.
This multi-cache has two stages. The first stage is always located at the coordinates listed above. It is a clear top Rubbermaid box. Find this box to get information on the location of the final (holiday) cache (you don’t even need to open this box, you can view the info through the clear top). It is the final cache whose location changes every other month.
We update the theme and contents of the final cache to match the current month’s holiday celebration or special event (such as Halloween in October, Xmas in December, the Super Bowl in January, St. Patty’s Day in March, and so on.... you get the point). But you won’t keep coming back to this cache if we keep it in the same spot, so we move the final cache around every other month also.
This month’s theme: Love and Leprechauns are in the air, because it's Valentines and St. Patricks day season (and don't forget President's Day!) You'll LOVE huntin' for this LUCKY cache!
The initial contents are:
Valentine rubber stamps
Thumbs up heart figurines
Spiny heart doll
Heart Keychain
Heart bag
Sweet thoughts magnet
Green thimble mug
St Pat Party Pics
Green Hulk Stickers
Green pencil
Lucky Leprechaun
St. Patty's shot glass
The final cache is in a plain clear plastic jar with a red festive inside wrap. When you find this cache and take a prize, if possible, please leave a prize that relates to the current holiday theme. Be sure to check back again for the next holiday cache (April/May)!
