This cache has been archived.

mainiac1957: I once again want to thank Rich, Karen, and Dave for their respective parts in making this event a reality. I hope everyone came away with just a little (or a lot) more insight on how to use this awesome tool for our hobby. Thanks for coming.

Geocache Description:

Have you been wanting to learn how to use Geocaching Swiss Army
Knife? Can you come to the Central Maine area on Saturday afternoon
on November 6th? Then we may have a deal for you. Mr Glonch (Rich)
of Glonch's Pride from New Hampshire along with Brdad (Dave) will
be offering some how to's on how to use it. If you are unfamiliar
with GSAK or want to learn a bit more on using macros and such then
don't miss out.

The presentation will begin at 1:00PM. The first part will be
geared toward beginners and will be for those newer users trying to
make sense of it all. Then a bit later we will touch on more
advance use through macros. If you have a laptop computer, either a
notebook or a netbook then by all means bring it. Of course you
will want to make sure you have the latest version loaded on. If
you only have GSAK at home on your desktop. Bring a pad and pen and
write down some notes. After the presentations there will be time
for questions. These two cachers have years of experience using
GSAK. Don't miss out on this opportunity! Rich has presented this
in New Hampshire and Vermont. He graciously offered to come here
and show it to interested Maine cachers.

This is not intended to be a regular cache event. Don't bring
crockpots of food. Don't come with TB's and coins for show and
trade. This is GSAK school. Come with a desire to learn how to use
this most useful tool. I personally use GSAK a lot. I only wish
there was a class back when I started so I would have been able to
do more sooner.

Many thanks to Kaching Karen and the Windsor Elementary School for making this venue possible
