Geocache Description:

Follow directions for Yankee Boy Basin from Ouray. The area around the cache is all mountains, wild flowers, large rocks,2 waterfalls and an abondoned mine. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Some of the terrain can become pretty rough so wear your seatbelts. If you don't have a 4 wheel drive, you may want to rent one in Ouray. You may want to park near the mine and hike a 1/4 of a mile. The elevation at the site of the cache is 11,017 feet.

The cache is a larger tupperware container. Inside the cache you will find 2 log books,a pen, batteries for your GPS if you should need theme, a water bottle, a lanyard for your keys, a first aid kit, dramamine tablets for the journey down the mountain, and a roll of film in case you want to take a few pictures. If you do find this cache, plese leave a pencil instead of the pen in case the pen would freeze in the winter. The water bottle may also freeze once it gets colder. But as always, if you take something, please leave something as well.
