I sing of Ratho. Help me to relate it's past, it's present, and
it's future state.
West from Edina-Caledonian pride, and wonder of the neighbouring
world beside!
A champion country, hedg'd on every hand with stately hills, adorns
the Lothian land.

This cache has been placed to coincide with the Scottish Geocacher Day Out – Ratho Park.
It will be left in place after the event.
This is one of two caches on Tormain Hill near Ratho. On a clear
day, you will have fabulous views as far as Ben More
It has a sturdy hardcore path. Suitable for kids, and buggies,
although you will have to leave the buggy about 30 metres away from
the cache, it will still be in view.
Have fun.
Travel Bugs are the property
of the person who has released them. Therefore I do not count them
as a swap item.
Please DO NOT take an item in exchange for any Travel Bugs that you
may wish to leave in this cache.
If you are new to Geocaching or don't know the area, then have a
look at my bookmark lists for Edinburgh, you may find them
helpful.
On the 10th August 2005 I came here with Mark Stephen the
presenter of the 'Out of Doors' programme on BBC Radio Scotland
to do an interview on Geocaching. The programme got aired on the
13th August 2005. Wildlifewriter has recorded the programme and
edited out the non-geocaching parts. The article runs for 16
minutes.
You can listen to the interview here.
