Vintertid är Storsjöns is en fantastisk träffpunkt för många människor. 200 meter från centrum startar i februari varje år det kostnadsfria arrangemanget som kallas för 'Medvinden' med 50 km glidande nöje. För den aktive plogas skridskobanor till spegelblanka banor och olika långa skidspår prepareras väl. Dessutom anordnas skoterkörning, hundspann, barnhockey, skridskoskolor och många andra spännande aktiviteter. Är du riktigt våghalsig kan du bada i en öppen vak med efterföljande bastu och glühwein. Vill du hellre softa och ta det lugnt erbjuds grillplatser, matförsäljning och solstolar eller varför inte pimpla en öring?




In winter, the ice on Storsjön is a fantastic meeting place for many people. Just 200 meters from the city centre starts the event 'Tailwind’ in February every year with 50 km gliding pleasure - and no entrance fee! Active people can skate on tracks ploughed like mirrors, skiing tracks are well prepared in different lengths. Furthermore - snowmobile driving, dog spans, hockey rink, skating school for children are offered and many more exiting activities. If you are a courageous person you can jump into a cold hole in the ice with a relaxing sauna bath and maybe a glühwein afterwards. Do you just want to relax? There are food sells, open fires for grilling and sun chairs. Or why not try to jig a salmon trout?
