Geocache Description:

This is a set of 3 caches located in a park in Leesburg, Virginia along the Potomac River. You will need to visit Reflection # 1 "The Beginning" and # 2 "The Stand" to get the final coordinates for # 3 – “The Well!”

W 077° 31.827

This cache was put out on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. In that the roads will be extremely busy today I decided to stay off them and further explore a park in my neighborhood.

In looking at the map. I soon realized that this park is much bigger then I thought it was, and that all the caches within this park were on one side-------so I decided to do something about it. So that is how this all began. A trail may exist – or it may not all depends on how you approach it. None the less enjoy the hike as even if you bush whack the walk is worth it!

In exploring I kept thinking back to a recent cache I did -- The Seed 1.0 by spitwinkle. It was a simple cache, but the message he sent with it stuck with me. As I was walking in this park, I tried to reflect back on the last year of caching and how it has brought me back to something I have loved since I was a kid – the outdoors. Amazing how a thing called work gets in the way of that – and for what to get “ahead”! After a recent visit to Alaska I’m not sure you truly can get ahead – if you forget about Mother Nature.

I also found my self reflecting back to the Civil War and how many folks died on the land we are walking on today to bring us the freedoms and rights that we enjoy today. You can’t help but think about the men and women today who are on foreign lands fighting for those same rights – if not for us for others. Thus the Trilogy – “The Beginning” starts. Think to the beginning, of anything, someone started it!

In order to get to third stage “The Well” – you need to capture the coordinates from Trilogy #1 – “The Beginning” and Trilogy # 2 – “The Stand” {Coordinates can be found in the appropriate logbook.}

I also decided to drop off TB The Travel Spider – a bug that has traveled the country. Thought it would be appropriate to start this bug in a new cache that will hopefully be as successful as TB “The Travel Spider”.
