Near to the Citadelle clock tower. Follow the Chemin des Remparts. Descend 127 steps. Find a small niche 2m up in the wall.

Comme la porte Saint-Jacques, la porte de la citadelle est un châtelet d’entrée du début du XIIIe siècle, formé de deux tours en amande encadrant un passage voûté qui était protégé par une herse et un assommoir. Au rez-de-chaussée, les salles ont été bouchées, néanmoins, des archères sont visibles sur le parement externe. A l'origine il n'existait pas de communication entre ce niveau et le premier étage situé au-dessus du passage voûté auquel on accède par le chemin de ronde. Celui-ci conserve une partie de merlons et de créneaux. Le premier étage est composé d'une grande salle carrée voûtée et munie de trois ouvertures. Elle ouvre par deux couloirs sur les petites salles des tours en éperon, chacune pourvue de deux niches. Un escalier en vis relie la salle au deuxième étage, aujourd'hui transformée en terrasse.
Cette porte a été dotée, en 1454, d’une cloche sonnant les heures. Au XVIIIe siècle, devant le mauvais état de la charpente, le sommet de la porte est arasé et un châtelet installé pour abriter la cloche.
Like the gateway Saint-Jacques, the door of the citadel is a castle entrance of the early thirteenth century, consisting of two towers around an almond-shaped archway which was protected by a portcullis and murder hole. At the ground floor, the rooms have been blocked, however, arrow slits are visible on the external cladding. Initially there was no communication between this level and first floor above the archway which is accessed by the path around. It retains a portion of embankments and niches. The first floor is composed of a large square room and vaulted with three openings. It opens by two corridors on small rooms to spur towers, each equipped with two niches. A spiral staircase connects the room on the second floor, now converted into a terrace.
The gateway was equipped in 1454, with a bell ringing the hours. In the eighteenth century, due to the poor condition of the structure, the top of the gateway was altered and a new structure built to house the bell.
From the gateway follow the Chemin des Remparts. Descend 127 steps almost to the bottom. Cache is in a niche in the wall at 2m height. 35mm micro
