This is an extra CITO event to help out a couple who adopted a stetch of Hwy 183 and usually do it all themselves. They could use our help. I told them that the awesome area geocachers would come to their aid for a smiley and a souvenir. Let's show them what geocachers can do together and what geocaching is all about.
The posted coordinates are for (700 Oak Lane) where we will meet. Parking will be in the grass inside the circular drive. This spot is also at the mid point of the two mile stretch of highway we will be working. We can either car pool or get shuttled to the various spots as needed.
We will have vests and trash bags for everyone to use, but you will need to come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear. Gloves, hats, and a grabber would be very helpful. Also BE SURE TO BRING WATER! This section of 183 is busy, so safety is very important. Please be aware that the area is also remote and devoid of facilities.
