According to Wikipedia, the earliest known "official" celebration of π Day was organized by Larry Shaw in San Francisco in 1988. The next year, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a non-binding resolution (HRES 224) recognizing March 14, 2009 as National Pi Day. All that's nice, but for me, personally, it's really just a good reason to get together with fellow geocachers and eat some pie!
I know there are a few who never respond with a "Will Attend" to an event, but it would be helpful if you would respond here with not just your intent to attend, but also your choice of pie.
