Date: Sunday, October 11, 2015
Time: 5-7:30 p.m.
After finding an EarthCache to earn your International EarthCache Day souvenir, join fellow EarthCachers to celebrate International EarthCache Day, the beginning of Earth Science Week, and the end of World Space Week! We only have one Earth, and, each year, these first two weeks of October give us a chance to focus on the science behind the driving forces on Earth, while also celebrating the contributions of space science, engineering, and technology to life on Earth.
This event will focus mainly on EarthCaching and helping fellow Geocachers overcome any fears and/or misconceptions they may have regarding EarthCaches. We will share stories of favorite EarthCaches, discuss how to log an EarthCache, offer hints to help with logging requirements, and discuss the criteria to consider when creating your own EarthCache. Overall, however, we will have a lot of fun!
As a bonus treat, all attendees will have the opportunity to see an astronomy show with geological connections to our planet Earth!
Please bring a snack or beverage (non-alcoholic please) to share, and please log a "will attend" so we know how many folks to expect. This venue has limited space (pun intended), so attendance may be cut off if the list of attendees reaches the maximum occupancy of 62 persons.
Hope to see you there!
