About the Series
The Greater Palmer Fall Foliage Tour is a collection of four
caches: a
traditional cache (Fox Hill, Palmer), a
multi cache (Devil's Peak, West Warren), a
letterbox hybrid (Mt. Dumplin, Palmer), and a
puzzle cache (Swift River, Belchertown). You will need to track
down the first three caches and collect some numbers from them to
find this cache. If you are First to Find on this cache, you will
become the proud owner of an unactivated 2007 Podcacher Geocoin
This series could be subtitled "Revenge of Dosido's Muggled
Caches" as the 4 locations have all held caches that we placed, and
were subsequently muggled.
As fall is my favorite season, all of these locations are
fantastic spots to view and enjoy the fantastic colors of New
England!
The Mystery Cache
Obviously, since this is a puzzle cache, the coordinates listed
are not where the cache is located. If followed, the
coordinates will take you to what used to be the final stage of our
muggled cache
There's Something Fishy About This One cache that also took
cachers on a stroll along the Swift river.
The Muggle Story
Our Something Fishy cache started out as a 3 part muti, but the
kids kept taking the 2nd stage that was located at the sluice dam.
We then changed it to a two part multi. (Sadly, the dam has since
been posted 'no trespassing' due to a death at the falls).
When Xiadog was out checking on his cache along the river, he
let us know that he found our cache and it had been found by
muggles, and hanging from a rope (that used to hold the cache up in
a tree) near the cache was a santa claus pez which had been a trade
item. In addition, while he was there, he noted that there were
kids in kayaks that were very interested in his presence. He
graciously removed the cache for us, and we subsequently archived
the listing.
Cache Info
To find this cache, you will need to locate the other 3 caches
in the series. On the cover of the log book, and repeated on the
inside cover of each cache, you will find two numbers. These
numbers will unlock the location of the mystery cache.

The cache is a .30 cal ammo can decorated by Alexa, and there is
a collection of kids items to trade for, as well as a the
unactivated 2007 Podcacher geocoin for the First to Find.
The walk is flat, jogging stroller, bike, and kid friendly. It
is less than a mile to the cache from the parking area. The foliage
along the river is usually spectacular!
Please rehide well! Good Luck!
Remember that hunting season starts soon - wear your blaze
orange when out caching!
