This is MY beach, on a weekday I'll swim at any old beach just for exercise, but this one is my weekend special beach, where I can chill out, and snorkel and read and just sit there and... sit, so if I find any litter there'll be BIG trouble!
There are actually a whole series of secluded little coves along this stretch of track and with a good 4x4 you can keep going along here for miles, we still haven't fully explored it all. You can get as far as this with a 2x2 but you need to take it easy. It's great snorkelling, I've seen an octopus and there are always fish, sometimes really big ones. I always wear beach shoes as it's very pebbly, rocky and weedy and I'm a big wimp!
The Melanda restaurant is a pretty good 'standard fayre' kinda place, and the beach over there is nice too if you don't like to be so far off the beaten track and need to have wine and toilets nearby.
The cache is a camouflaged 1L ice cream carton, so lots of room for goodies.
It has it's log and pen, a few bits and bobs, and a FTF prize that came from this beach.
