Longer and easier hike, OR Shorter and more difficult hike
First off this cache sits in the middle of the SHT where the trail heads are both on skyline depending on the starting point.
Two of the ways into the cache are much longer of a hike, however these two ways are easier, and more scenic.
From Haines Rd. SHT intersection near where the power line trails cross, (REFERENCE) n46* 45.272 w092* 11.262 the hike will be almost 1 mile one way, but the hiker will be rewarded with several boardwalks to cross and an not bad oak forest to pass through gaining way to a vast area of growing birch trees. This area also has noumerous runoff streams in full flow.
The closer and most difficult hike is suggested parking at
(REFERENCE) n46* 45.328 w092* 10.178 only difficult because of the initial hill climb up an old trail which is visible from the skyline road. Once up this climb the walking is much easier and there will be no bushwacking no matter which route is chosen to take. (If taking this route remember you will need to come back down the trail to the vehicle below.)
I would advise against attempting to scale up these cliffs unless one is qualified to do so.
I hope the view is worth the effort to get up here and the chances of seeing hawks are good and the noumous oak tress that for amazing are still standing farther on down the trail closer to the first mentioned trailhead.
This is a log only cahce with room for the smallest items
OF COURSE PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN TO SIGN THE LOG.
