Roadside stops, strange statues, larger than life items, gimmicky signs, quirky architecture -- popping up along America's roads and highways, often bring drivers to a screeching halt, a quick turn around, or, at the very least, an expletive -- "what in hell was that?"
"Largest Rocking Chair in the World"
Just outside Cuba (Missouri), in Fanning, is a 42-foot tall, 23-foot wide rocking chair that has held the Guinness Record as âLargest Rocking Chair in the Worldâ since 2008. One day a year, the caretakers hire an industrial lift to allow people to sit on the chair for photo ops.
