Geocache Description:

BADGES proudly presents the 6th Bay Area Dining and Geocaching Enthusiasts Society (BADGES) dinner event to be held on Sunday, February 27 starting at 5PM.

It's time to gather together for food, drink and socializing, this time in the South Bay. Our previous dining events and picnics, which have been held in various locations around the Bay, have been very well-attended. The Protocol is "Come As You Are" and "BYOF" (Buy Your Own Food and drink).

All Geocachers, Geocaching friends, and Geocaching wannabes (or anyone interested in Geocaching) are welcome to attend!

Sunday, February 27th - 5:00 - 9:00 pm

Britannia Arms Pub (web site)
1087 DeAnza Boulevard
Cupertino, CA

(See coordinates at top of page)

  • $12.00 per adult includes meal, tax, tip and one soft drink.
Choose from one of the following meals:
    • Britannia Burger
    • Veggie Burger (vegetarian)
    • Penne Pasta Pesto (vegetarian)
    • Fish and Chips (one piece)
    • Teriyaki Chicken
    • Curry of the Day
  • $1.00 per child (12 and under), includes meal, tax, tip and one soft drink from their children's menu

You sign in and order your meals from the menu above, or just sign in and be a part of the festivities. You don't have to eat anything to attend this event. Just show up if you want! This event can accommodate "party-only" folks!

  • Surprises and door prizes, including one "high-end" item

UPDATE as of 2/13/05: Our big surprise has just been confirmed. Local show Bay Area Backroads will be airing a piece on geocaching at 8:00pm that we will be able to watch on the BA TV. Come see the fun that a few BADGES organizers had taking host Doug McConnell geocaching around San Francisco.

  • A separate drawing for the wee geocachers
  • Learn while you socialize: Talk to "subject experts" who will be on hand to talk about puzzle solving, placing evil hides, using nifty software tools and caching paperless. These geocachers will be wearing a unique name badge so you will be able to identify them.

Note: PLEASE post on this page by Friday, February 25th if you definitely are coming and how many adults and children are in your party!
