I suggest that no one try to put a cache in this area as the homeless guy does not want visitors in his space or anywhere near it. He is totally unfriendly.

From the information building take the left side trail down to the main trail. Follow the main trail north to a park sign board. From there take the northwest trail (the left one). This is an easy hiking trail to the cache site.
The cache container is now a ammo can (as of 2/21/06), thanks to nolenator who spotted a crack in the original container and replaced it. The logbook is inside a ziplock bag with a pen. The cache can be reached from the main trail.
During the month of January 2006 the area suffered some major wind storm damage and I had to move the cache. The location is very good here so I placed it nearby. Check the Additional Hints to find out where it is now.
This park has so many trails to hike and so many things to see. Spend some extra time here and enjoy the splendor of it all.
When you find this cache or any of the other caches within this park go to the information desk in the main building and tell them that you found a geocache in the park. They would love to hear about it.
