Geocache Description:

This is a puzzle cache to located in the western part of Oslo.

The coordinates are bogus. You must solve a puzzle to find this cache.

For our caching team, the end of November and into December tastes of “cold turkey”. The leftover turkey meat from a Thanksgiving or holiday dinner make for a great cold turkey sandwich with salt, good bread and plenty of “Ma Jones.” yum yum!

These sandwiches have brought have brought geocaching to our mind. Geocaching, as some have discovered, is a rather addictive pastime. Some people have tried to quit by going “cold turkey”. That would be to abruptly stop doing it until the urge is gone. Of course, why stop when you’re having fun? But to find this cache, you will have to go to “cold turkey” in a matter of words.

First go to “Cold Turkey” near Vigelands Museum, and then answer the following questions. If you are chasing this cache when there is not snow on the ground, you will just have use your imagination to find “Cold Turkey”. This will be just a short (but hopefully interesting walk) and the cache is hidden relatively close by.

About 17 meters south of the main gates/(drive in gate) of “Cold Turkey” along the sidewalk there is a telephone box-like-thing….with the letters and number FS0437_. The last digit is “c” in the formula.

Right on the other side of the street from the main gate to “cold turkey” there is a lamppost with a small plaque with the number 3. There are three smaller numbers the first of those numbers is “d" in the formula.

Now start walking up the street until you get to number 20 with two mean looking lions guarding the gate. Near the top of the building is the date of construction: 191_. The last digit is "b" in the formula. Look closely, old numbers styles can be sometimes deceiving

Keep walking up the street. On this same street, is an interesting building (number 14.) A blue plaque tells that the house was built for someone who obviously liked to be “on the lookout”. This building was built in the year___. Add up all these digits and then add 1 to get “ef”.

On this same street there is a building that represents another “Chilly” place (number 8), and we are not talking about a popular Texan stew! In front of this building there is a statue of some animals obviously hungry (maybe all this talk about turkey?). How many of there animals are there? Multiply this number by 2 to get “a”.

Coordinates formula for the cache:

N59 55 abc
E 010 42 def

The original contents of the cache are:
Log book with pencil & sharpener
A plastic bird that sort of kind of looks like an ugly turkey
Heart room pin
Green apple lip balm
10 $ eraser
purple paper clip from an Egersund cache
10 øre & 5 mexican pesos
storm match

The cache is winter avaible. Please watch out for mugglers.
Please note: there is no geology lesson in this cache..."turkey ore" is cadmium sulfide (greenockite)....and we are not aware of any ice-covered greenockite is the vicinty. We apologize. "http://www.geocoins.ca">
