Yup, right above the F for Fernley. Should be fairly easy to reach,
you can park within 50ft.
I have called Fernley home since 1982. I was five when we moved
here. I'm not sure if the "F" was there at the time but I do know
it was a great hang out place and there during my high school
years. I now enjoy riding around out here with my kids. I hope the
urban crawl doesn't make its way up this hill.
This is a themed cache as the name states, it is all about the
"F" so leave something that starts with an "F". My kids helped pick
out some of the prizes. The original contents of the ammo can
are:
Feathers
Flags (pk of 4)
Firebird
Firetruck
Flashlight
and a Frame (small picture)
Oh yeah there is an FTF prize, a nice coin I won off of Ebay
awhile back.
Take a minute to enjoy the view and if your a long time Fernley
resident remember the good ol days when we had these hills to
ourselves!

Cruised up and nabbed this one this evening, caught the sunset with my wife and 3mo old son. One of the best views in Fernley. Grabbed a picture Frame and left a glass Flower pendant that I made. TFTC

As usual, made it a bit harder than necessary. We walked up from the parking area instead of getting close...guess I should have read the sheet. Except for the wind, not a bad little hike up to GZ. It was just a bit brisk on top. Enjoyed the view for a lot less time than we wanted. Great view of town and neat watching the storms roll across the ridge tops, but man was it cold. Signed the log, grabbed the Jordan TB and off we went. TFTH!
