The coordinates at the top of the page are for the municipal water
tower in Pendleton, N.Y.; the cache is not located at those
coordinates. The cache is located within a three mile radius of the
listed coordinates.
To find this cache, you must decipher the codex below, written
in the language of an ancient civilization. With a little research
on the co-placer of the cache, you should easily be able to
determine the ancient civilization in question. You'll then have to
research and become fluent with their numbering system to get the
coords for the actual cache. This civilization used no decimal
points, but once you're on the right track with the solution, it
should be totally obvious where you need to place them. Deciphering
the two heiroglyphic figures in the picture will be helpful, but
not necessary.
As far as the cache itself, you can find parking about .25 miles
west of it. The cache is not far off a trail, but you'll be in for
a short dose of heavy duty bushwacking. I recommend long pants all
times of the year, and bug spray in season. I'm no botanist, but I
do believe there is a small amount of poison ivy in the area.
The container is a 7 Qt. cylindrical Lock-N-Lock container,
wrapped in camo tape. It contains only small quality trade items
and a logbook, so there should be quite a bit of space left over
for trading or TB's.
