Geocache Description:

Feeder creek overflow pool at North end of Lake Woodlands

This is one of the older of the geocaches with a number of 1742, as of this editing there are 223,612 caches in 219 countries.

You can get here by foot, but it would be more fun by boat. If you park at North Shore Park, on Lake Woodlands, you can row North and go under the bridge.

If going by foot, you can park in the cul-de-sac past the apartment complex and walk a trail. You can make it without getting wet, only a small gap to hop over. Walk all the way around the north end of the overflow pool and you can make it around.

On the East side of the overflow pool is a large standing trunk of a long dead tree, about 5 feet west of it is a small broken tree, the cache container is tied to the trunk and suspended just above the ground.

As always in Texas, watch out for the snakes and fire ants, and for places you can't see into, use a walking stick to poke at them first.
