I thought this was the way to the Padrone Canyon Underlook cache, so I headed up this way. When I got to the end of the road, I realized I still had to hike up the hill, but no big deal.
I decided not to sight in my AR57 upper before I marched up the hill. Since it is a against CPNM regulations to target shoot, I wouldn't do that.(See page 9, "Supplemental Rules".) Instead I saw a coyote down the hill and shot at him 50 times. Please do not target shoot in the CPNM as we do not want you to get a ticket.
Then I made the trek up the hill and found Padrone Canyon Underlook, right by a nice road! DOH! Well if you want a little exercise you can definitely make the ten minute walk up to Padrone Canyon Underlook without having to drive around and waste fuel.
Enjoy this nice little place off of the beaten path.
