Here, you can see a japanese traditional rural scenery called
"yatsu". It means swamp areas in valley, and we made a rice paddy
in such a place. My family name was said to originated from this
"yatsu", so I chose here for my fist cache to place.
There is no car parking near here.

「谷津」って言葉をご存知ですか？
今となっては辞書にも載っていないのですが、谷地に細長い湿地帯が入り込んだ地形を示す言葉で、そこは昔から水田として利用されていました。実は私の名前の由来らしいので、記念すべき最初のキャッシュとして、この場所を選びました。
この場所は、「谷津」の地形だけではなく伝統的な農業やくらしの風景をも復活させ、野外博物館として保存していく試みが為されています。
近くに駐車場はありません。手賀沼周辺はレンタサイクルが整備されているので、その御利用をお勧めします。
