Geocache Description:

Please Note New Coordinates. Original cache was an ammo box that was muggled in March 2005. Then changed to a micro, log only. 20 Nov 2009, container changed to 4 in diameter, 15 paces from the micro location. Hopefully, the new coordinates are dead on.

Located next to the most active earthquake fault in California. The San Jacinto Fault is a splinter of the San Andreas Fault and averages a magnitude 6 earthquake every 9 years. The location has an excellent view of the sheared face of the Santa Rosa Mountains. 2005 spring views of flowers were spectacular.

The geocache is located near highway S22, nine miles east of Borrego Springs. Parking in a pull-out. Cache close by.
