Geocache Description:

A simple cache located in Piney Woods Preserve (Nature Conservancy property) off of Clinton Road in Bedford, NY. Parking can be found at a small pull off next to a guardrail near a small stream on Clinton Rd. There is no sign or kiosk at the trail head... just a trail leading into the woods.

This walk is about a half mile total and takes you through a nice little grove of pines. (In case you were wondering where they got the name for the preserve.) The preserve trails are shared by the BRLA (Bedford Riding Lanes Assoc.) so you may encounter some large, smelly creatures along the way... also, watch where you step... What are the odds of horse owners ever "curbing their horses"? :) If you decide to bring the dog along, make sure you bring the leash!

There is no need to bushwack. The cache is a short distance off of the trail. When you get to the first divide in the trail, you will have the option of going to the left, right, or up the middle. It doesn't matter which you choose... all trails lead around to the cache.

The cache is a quart-sized tupperware container full of the usual trinkets. Look for the most unique looking tree in the area and the cache is not far from there.
