Geocache Description:

FTF: February 15, 2002 by W7WT.

WASHINGTON'S - 1%
The cache location is in Port Orchard, WA. and at the South Kitsap Community Park.  The terrain is heavily wooded, but the trails are flat and easy, except for the last part of the hunt.  Be aware that due to Heavy Tree Cover, you may find you GPSr wandering all over the place.  So, I suggest you pick a clear and sunny day to hunt for this cache.

There are two entrances to this park, but the best one is at N47° 31.360' x W122° 36.600' on Jackson Ave. near the AM/PM Store, and parking is not a problem.  Don't go into the entrance that is off of Lund Ave. unless you want a longer walk.  I won't tell you about the "Secret Backdoor", and if you find it, please don't tell anybody.

This park has a number of activities in it, such as a miniature railroad, hence the name of the cache, a skateboard area, a dirt bike area, picnic grounds and a whole lot more.  If you are around the railroad tracks, don't walk on them.  If you're there at the right time, you can even ride the railroad around it's several loops.

Wear your walking or hiking shoes and bring a picnic lunch too!  I don't recommend doing this after dark, because the Park Closes At Dusk!  Otherwise, you could find yourself locked behind the gate.  Be sure to read the sign post at the entrance to the park for it's hours and activities.

There are quite a few trails in this park.  So, I hope you choose wisely.  BTW, There are other caches in and around this park, so use the Nearby Cache function to list them.

The cache you seek is a Pill Bottle.  It is well hidden from the prying eyes of muggles.  In any case, take care when retrieving and replacing the cache so muggles don't find it.

GOOD LUCK & HAPPY HUNTING!
