Geocache Description:

Yankee Jim Rock Walk #2 replaces Yankee Jim Rock Walk which was geomugged due to being in plain site when checking the crevices between the rock. Now the cache has new coords and is better concealed.

Yankee Jim was one of the early dwellers in this area. You can well imagine that, in his day, he slept on the ground and ate the food he prepared over a campfire. Therefore, the theme of this cache is camp items. Bring a picnic lunch and a sleeping bag and stay a while. The new container is a small ammo can with black lettering “YANKEE JIM ROCK WALK #2 GEOCACHE” on the lid and both sides of the can. Original contents of the replacement cache are: Log book with 2 pens and a pencil; 2 Waterproof match boxes; Waterproof safety matches (2 boxes); 2 Keychain flashlights; 2 safety lights; 2 pocket packs of Kleenex; one Lewis and Clark postcard; several Yellowstone historical postcards; and one 4" x 6" American flag. Be sure to replace the cache and hide carefully the same way you found it. Take a walk among the rocks, a little bit of rock climbing is required to reach the cache. It is well concealed beneath a huge boulder. To learn more of the history of this canyon, be sure to read the roadside sign at N45.10.249, W110.53.149. The sign is on the right side of the road if you are heading toward Yellowstone National Park.
