Geocache Description:

Hoping this cache will bring more people to the under utilized River Valley Trail.

Unusually low snowfall levels in the Cariboo allowed us to hide this cache on Feb 2/03, Groundhog day, thus the name of the cache. The container is a medium sized plastic container, with assorted items. We try to keep it current with toys for both adults and children. Even if the treasure doesn't appeal to you, we hope you enjoy the hike. Be patient with your GPS due to the hollow and tree cover. Happy hunting! PS. The photos are from previous Geo Cachers on the disposable camera originally left in the cache. The first one is our favourite! It you have time, you can go all the way to the end of the River Valley Trail and find caches along the way. There is a fantastic view of the Fraser River at the end of the trail. One could start their hike from this cache or a number of other places. Whether you have the time to hike to the end or just a short walk this trail is a wonderful place to spend time. Have Fun!
