An unusual puzzle in a tiny, charming, little-known waterfront
park, full of poetic and historic perspective.
This is one of Seattle's truly unique 'hidden' parks. Many nearby
residents don't even know of it's existence, but it's a great place
to enjoy the canal, a particular view of the city, and an amazing
amount of historical information artistically built into the park
itself.
When you reach the coordinates:
look for THIS SITE and then do your LAUNDRY. For a snack, have a
BIG CRACKER at GASWORKS, unless people will think you too ECCENTRIC
since your DOG GEAR is made of WOOD. Check the WATER LEVEL from
here to PORTAGE BAY, then cross the road to AURORA and look at the
WOODEN BRIDGE. Exit the cul-de-sac in order to make your way to the
WESTLAKE TRESTLE, then make a long hop to INTERBAY. From INTERBAY,
it’s only 5 paces to WOODINVILLE, and, passing WOODINVILLE it won’t
be long before you’ll see an APPARITION and hear FROG SONGS. Follow
a SUBTERRANEAN PASSAGE to where they CLEANSED THEMSELVES.
Understand that TO THEM, this WATER WAS HALLOWED. Be THE FIRST to
take two long strides to the center of LAKE UNION. Standing at the
center of the lake, walk 10 feet in the direction of THE TRACKS to
meet John and Madeline, the keepers of our cache.

October 25 by Red Blackberries (152 found) Been to Ivar's a zillion times without ever stumbling across this great little park. On a drizzly Sunday, my six-year-old had fun following the clue trail, watching ducks, balancing on logs, and nearly falling into the real Lake Union while I puzzled over the final cache location. As other logs have noted, the final "THE TRACKS" description is no longer accurate, but the information about the final should be good enough to find it pretty quick. Great cache, great use of the location! Took a Superball, left an old Korean coin. [This entry was edited by Red Blackberries on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 6:06:55 PM.]

[view this log] | October 4 by PetePulliam (94 found) I love this cache. There has been some mayntenaunce on the next to last waypoint that has resulted in the world turning. By approximating the offset from the bolt holes I was able to find J&M, who are now vaguely in the direction of Westlake and Queen Anne.By the way, there was no TB in sight. TFTC
