Geocache Description:

Puzzle Cache located adjacent to Seneca Park

The Listed coordinates are for PARKING and NOT THE CACHE ITSELF.

All you need to solve the puzzle is contained in the use of the “haiku” below and in the portions of ciphertext. There are several levels of cipher involved and several different codes. Necessary information for this cache is encoded with a Polyalphabetic Cipher (or Vigenere Code) (requires a keyword) and the coordinates are encoded with the Enigma machine (requires the machine be set up appropriately). You must decipher with the appropriate codes. Free programs exist on the internet for the deciphering of both types of codes. This cache page gives you all the necessary information to use the codes themselves and thereby guides you to the coordinates for the cache itself. I suggest approaching the solution to this cache by following the numbered steps.

1.) Determine the significance of the use of a “Haiku” (there may be more than one significance to my choice of using a “Haiku”)-

A cache is hidden
Sometimes in more than plain view
Is this one or not

2.) Ciphertext – Polyalphabetic Cipher (Vigenere Code)

3.) Ciphertext - Enigma Machine

There is a path that leads to the cache itself and it is NEXT to the gravel road. Please be careful when replacing the cache so as not to "lose" it via Newton's favorite law. There is NO NEED TO CLIMB on any structure. Feet always stay firmly on the ground. Happy hunting.

ADDITION: While this cache is meant to be challenging, it is not meant to revolve around exhaustive internet searching. For that reason, it is my suggestion that when locating an Enigma machine on-line to use, you Google "Enigma Applet" and use the Second recommended machine (visit link) It has all the necessary bells and whistles to untangle the mystery I have so cleverly woven. The question is, do YOU have all the info to make the darn thing work? And before you say it, you're welcome!
