Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the above location but can be found somewhere
on the paths around the reservoir.

This is not an easy cache to find due to the other caches in the series.

There is no need to tresspass into fields to find this cache.

This cache is the bonus cache of a series of caches which are
placed around Eccup Reservoir. The complete circuit from cache to cache is about 6 - 6.5 miles - depending which way you go. Look out for the Red Kites, you are sure to see them at some point on your journey.

The Caches

The caches are a range of Nano, barrel, micros, screw top vitamin bottles, 250ml and 500ml click & click boxes. The latter 3 types being camouflaged and contain a small collection of swaps. Just for fun I'm not going to say which is which. It should be fairly obvious at each cache site. And to make it more interesting - no clues to start with - lets see how it goes.

In addition each cache has a code character that helps you towards the co-ordinates for a final bonus cache. Make a note of the character and which cache you got it from. You will find it on the inside of the lid of this cache and on the log sheet. Also - one cache has a clue to the decryption method for the final and another has the decryption key. You will need all the caches to decode the bonus cache.

Some of the paths can be muddy after rain. I do not recommend this series for wheelchairs because of the soft muddy terrain in places and only a rugged style of buggy is recommended.

You will need internet access to complete the challenge and after finishing the 21 caches there is a bit of walk involved to the final.

Please take care when in the woods as there may be the odd snake about. They will move out of your way if they sense your approach but dogs etc may startle them.

When replacing the cache, please ensure it is well hidden and no labelling is visible.

The Puzzle

You need to have the twenty two code characters and the twenty one cache numbers you found them in.

Using the decryption method and the key (found in two of the caches) you will be able to line up each code character with a letter of the alphabet A - U.

To get the calculated number required for each letter you carry out the following for each character....

Example: If the character matches up with the letter M and you found it in cache #9

- so the number you are looking for is (M = 13) + (Cache = 9) = 22 then reduce it down to a single number by adding the digits together - so 2 + 2 = 4

After doing this you should end up with a series of single digit numbers for the letters A to U.

The cache is at:

North ((Q+F)-U)(C-A) (O-I)(J-P).(L+R+S-G)(M-R)(B+N)
West (G-H-B) (T-D)(E-K).(H-K)(L)(O-U)
