Slabtown's Pride Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SoCalAdmin: Greetings from Geocaching.com

It looks like your cache has been temporarily disabled for a while now and is still under the weather.

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If you wish to repair this cache and have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Having caches marked as “temporally disabled” for extended periods of time is very irritating to local cachers because these caches will still show up on their TO-DO cache lists.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the near future.

Thanks for your understanding,

SoCalAdmin

Geocache Description:

As people find and rehide this cache it moves about a bit, but seems to stay pretty close to the asigned coords. I have upped the rating to a 3 to account for this.

Slabtown is the original name for the area now known as the village of Cambria. As the only other cache there was a virtual cache (although quite interesting), I am pleased to be the first to plant an actual cache in the area. The area where the cache is placed also commemorates a recent land purchase by the village. The land you are on when you find this cache is to become a moderately developed parkland in the future which is a joy to those with property in the area as it maintains unimpeded views of the coast. And it is a real plus to tourists to have such an area to walk about in. That is the reason Slabtown's Pride was selected as the name for this particular cache.

Original Contents: ruler, baseball card, Star Trek audiobook, earplugs, pocket knife, golf ball, carpenter's pencil, $100 bill (Equador), and the Cucamonga Railroad Travel Bug, and of course the logbook, etc.

Try to leave this cache as hidden or more so than when you found it.
