After placing a cache on Chambers Island last year and seeing that people were finding it, I decided to place another one. This time I decided to check out the old lighthouse on the northwest side of the island. We anchored in the northern cove of the island and hiked the public roads to the site. I have never gone there before and thought it was a pretty cool site.

What a beautiful day to visit Chambers Island. Had a friend take me by boat on a clear, light wind day from Ellison Bay. This was # 3 of the caches on Chambers. Approached from the shore at the lighthouse. No one around the lighthouse and was able to take some beautiful pictures. Took a little bit to find the cache and the hint helped a lot. Cache is in good shape. TFTCSL TNLN

We come to the island just about every year and didn't have enough time last year to find this one. The weather and trip to the cache couldn't of been better. Usually the bugs are so bad inland that we retreat back to the shore. Today we didn't even have to wear bug spray. The trick was the last hundred or so feet. We tried to find a trail along the yard of the lighthouse. Then we tried the shoreline. Then we just bushwacked the last part and found it. SLTFTC.

Wow! This was a great adventure today. Thanks for bringing us to this area today. It was a beautiful day. The kids loved it and so did we. We took many pictures of the lighthouse and met the keeper. This was one of the highlights of this years trip to Door County. Thanks again.

We are up in DC with the Babokooks group and are getting very fortunate with the weather. The wind made the trip out a little nervewracking for my oldest, and maybe for me too, but it was well worth the trip. The wife asked that I take a few pictures of the lighthouse. If we could have spent more time we would have gone up the lighthouse, but that will be our excuse to come out again! The trip back was much smoother, and faster, and concluded what was perhaps our most adventurous day of caching! Took a TB that had been in the cache about 11 months, will try to help its goals. I also cleared just about every spiderweb out of the way on the walk back to the lighthouse. TFTC!
