January 16 by dead_reckoning (119 found) Visited the cache today. Some things have changed since I saw it last. A gate has been put up at the access point to last two waypoints. Its not locked and the public can still go in - so don't be discouraged. We drove to the bottom of the hill (near WP 2) where there is a good turn around point, giving us only a 5 minute walk to the final WP. The last part of the cache had been muggled. But a new log has been placed in the cache and the contents have been cleaned up a little. Cache has also been moved just a little, so its not so in the open. I placed a Cairn (rock pile) at the point where you have to turn off the main path (between WP2 and the final WP). Hopefully that will help everyone to find the access point a little easier. Next time I come back I will spruce it up a little more, but even now it is in fairly good condition, and still an excellent geocache. Enjoy PS. Cache has been downgraded in Terrain rating and Difficulty.

December 9, 2009 by TiedyeSmileys (1221 found) Found by the TiedyeSmileys on our Adelaide NSW QLD trip away.Well, where to start with on this one? First up, we really loved it and were quite impressed. We enjoy adventurous multis much better than just another container under a tree (so much so that we have put a few out ourselves back in Adelaide ) Staying at a caravan park near the theme parks for a few days, this was one of the closer caches we had to us. Thought we would at least check out WP1 on an afternoon when we arrived. Ha, like just having a taste of chocolate and leaving the rest of the block, it couldn't be done, we were hooked and had to finish this off (albeit a couple of days later). We had not done a 5/5 cache before so thought it might be cool. The way we rate caches in Adelaide is a bit harder than here. Basically, for terrain ratings, a lot of caches are 5- you fall you die, 4.5 - you fall you need to get carried out, 4-you fall you get seriously injured. For this cache, we would have probably rated it terrain 3.5 or 4 at the most. Having said all that, we managed to make this much more harder than it was. We made this into a comedy of errors and nearly didn't finish it off at all. WP1 was no problem and a nice little hide. Going to WP2 was where the fun began. We must have spent nearly an hour going up and down the hill looking for this WP. We finally thought we would have to admit defeat on this when we thought to check our coords on our gps with the map we drew. Doh, they were wrong. After fixing our fat fingered mistake on the gps, we went straight to the WP and there it was, found immediately. Alas poor Claude, I knew him. Now we were on a roll, or so we thought. Our hand drawn map was way out of scale and we went almost to the top of the hill. Went back a long way again before heading off pretty much straight to GZ. Was impressed by GZ and only had eyes for that. So much so that we ended up walking right past the cache and started searching for it for a while before finally discovering it. A great walk in the park, which we made so much longer and harder than it should have been. Well recommended. TFTC

December 5, 2009 by agap2 (1050 found) I have had this on my to do list for a long time, so I managed to convince pigwig2 to lend a bit of assistance.. thinking there might be a bit of a bite in this cache. If I did no other caches today, I really would have been happy just have completed this one. WP1 quickly found, very clever, started to get the sense of adventure for this one. WP2, again very clever, although I beleive this used to be more impressive, such a pity. Anyway, still good, so with the final clue in hand, spent much time trying to find the pathway.. thinking we may be getting too high, decided it must be lower.. and after a while of searching.. decided to bush bash it... not the best decision I admit now. So those little sharp plants are really sharp aren't they, and when we decided we were actually too low, came across a scree slope, which we scrambled up.. I think it was at this point that I heard pigwig2 say "I'm not bringing anyone else back here" . However, once arriving at gz, all was forgotten, what an amazing place, a pity it is now too dangerous to enter, would have been amazing. Seems some muggles have been here as I removed some Bundy cans from the cache. Thanks dead reckoning, an absolutly fantastic multi, great effort, highly recommended!! Took TB.

September 20, 2009 by GIB69 (102 found) What a great adventure to end the day's caching with GIB96, Pigwig2 and Gunnie69. Excellent multi and yes it was my fault that Gunnie69 came down the hill without his hard earned TB. So Glad Gunnie69 found the easier track. Out little green spaceman TB, one soft toy TB was left in there (the one I put back in for the photo that Gunnie69 was going to take) and I can't recall the Siv-Eivor TB being there.
