Off main dirt road in Collier's Mills WMA near the beach area of Lake Success. The Cache is a small camouflaged container. Log and Pencil only. Great area to picnic or go swimming in the summer. Amazing views around sunset. 4x4 is recommended, Know Your Cachemobiles Limits!
There is no need for climbing or a ladder. If you aren't tall enough you may need a implement to reach the cache though. There are plenty of implements laying around the area for you to use. You may need to use the implement to replace the cache to its location.
PLEASE TIGHTEN CACHE CAP!! I believe this was the cause for all the wet logs.
Located in the Cassville section of Jackson Township and covering more than 12,000 acres, the Colliers Mills WMA is comprised of pitch pine and scrub oak forests, white cedar swamps, fields and lakes. The size of the wildlife management area invites exploration and solitude; however, in some areas, heavy greenbrier undergrowth prevents bushwhacking.
A main sand road leads past lakes, through the heart of the area, and exits on the other side. Other sand roads interlace the area, including some which restrict vehicles. Typical of wildlife management areas, there are no blazed trails. Hunters heavily use the area in the fall hunting season, so hikers should take appropriate precautions and WEAR ORANGE!
