Geocache Description:

A traditional cache in a conservation area in Bolton, MA.

This cache is being placed as a counterpart to Something for Everyone (just in case there's nothing there for you). That cache has multiple waypoints, an optional puzzle, a potentially long walk, and is located in an area frequented by non-cachers. This one is just the opposite: it's a fairly quick straightforward walk through rarely-used woods to a standard ammo box.

Access is from the unimproved section of Randall Road. Note: you want the Randall Road in Bolton, off of Berlin Rd (red street sign), not the nearby one Berlin (green street sign). Take Randall Road past the intersection with Rocky Dundee, and then follow the narrow unpaved section of Randall Road for about a tenth of a mile. Look for a brown wooden sign that says "H. Mitchell Gould / Bolton Conservation" at N 42° 24.823 W 71° 37.571. There's (barely) room for one small car directly across from the sign; additional cars or larger vehicles may have to drive further up the gravel road to find a place to park.

There isn't really much of a trail. There is a stone wall behind the sign that leads into the woods; follow this wall towards the cache. To the left of the stone wall is the White Conservation area. To the right of the wall is a hiking easement that eventually leads to the Gould Conservation area (the Bolton trail guide does not list how wide it is, but it’s probably no more than 10 feet). If you walk on the right side of the wall, stay close to it; beyond the easement is private property.

We initially had the difficulty at 1.5, but bumped it up to 2 due to the very spotty GPS reception in the area. Please replace the cache as you found it, or possibly even more out of reach.

There are no signs prohibiting hunting, so wearing blaze orange in the fall would be a good idea.
*** This cache will probably be difficult to find in the snow. ***

Congrats to GO$Rs for the FTF -- he's three for three on our caches now!
