Hi folks,
I've been away for quite a while due to a back injury, and haven't been able to maintain this cache. I'll check on it as soon as I can!

Deep in the woods, a trio of witches
brewed a concoction to bring them all riches.

"I tell you the mushrooms are bitter and stale!"
shrieked one, with a jab of her fingernail.

"Feh!" spat another and added some salt,
"The mushrooms are fine, the frogs are at fault!"

"The formula clearly calls for toad...
Frogs'll make the cauldron explode!"

"Frogs is fine," howled the third,
"but this diagram you've drawn is absurd--!"

A deafening boom roared through the night:
the cauldron exploded! The witches took flight!

"I guess it WAS toads," said the third with a frown,
as noxious soup and frogs showered down.

Alas, while the witches fought and debated,
they never saw what their concoction created:

Riches and wealth for a dozen wizards!
(Along with a few glowing frogs and lizards.)

Perhaps with this formula, you might find
a trace of that wealth that was left behind...

This cache began with:
  • an eerily glowing lizard
  • two glowing turtles
  • a brightly colored newt
  • the Laughing Wand of Giggleus Maximus
  • a wooden puzzlebox of devious construction
  • an elephant
  • a handful of rare and mystical stones
  • a magical statuette of a stag
  • a deck of cards decorated with exotic beasts
  • the spiral shells of the rare Phakacta mollusks

The terrain is moderately steep in some places, but if a flab-bag like me can navigate it, most people won't have trouble with it. It's definitely not terrain for strollers or wheelchairs, though. Total hiking distance is .8 miles, if you know where you're going.

You can approach the cache without ever leaving the hardpack trail, so if you find yourself tempted to scramble up a near-vertical slope covered with thornbushes, know that a better route exists!

The cache is hidden in a large paint can with blue stripes beneath a pile of rocks. You may have to move a rock or two to see it, but no digging is required.

Your feedback is welcome. Good luck, and happy hunting!
