Geocache Description:

Located near the tip of Bruernish peninsula on the island of Barra in the Western Isles, this is an excellent cache for someone with a kayak or small boat, and an attractive medium length walk from the road for those without.

Also known as the Barra Bob Cache, this cache contains a supply of pre-decimalisation shillings and a few other small items.

Make your own way by land or sea to the end of Bruernish peninsula, and once there look for a large boulder on a prominent hillock. From the large boulder walk about 30 feet west and look for the cache tucked in under one of the smaller boulders to be found there.

A great location for wildlife watching and for finding interesting things washed up on the shore. Porpoises, seals, otters, and assorted seabirds abound. The small inlets at the end of the peninsula seem to catch all sorts of things that are floating south to north on the gulf stream.
