in our disclaimer.
This cache is named after the many rabbits we used to see living near the creek, and near this cache, although some recent habitat removal has temporarily chased them away, they will return. Enjoy them, take a picture of them and add it to this cache site, but please don't disturb them. Thanks!
The coordinates lead you to two large man made objects (see hints if you must, but you won't need too). One of them has an arrow painted on it. The cache is immediately adjacent to this object.
Several of the houses you see on your walk to the cache will be gone soon . . . . Tropical Storm Hermine dumped about 6 feet of water over this site last fall. Across the creek are the condos that were shown on the news many times. Bummer, but thats what rivers do.
Recommended parking is at 32 42.850 97 10.391
If you did Rush Creek Rapids or some of the other nearby caches first, (there are 8 or 9 you can walk to from here), no need to move your vehicle, just hike it!
Excellent Cache to bring along your bike, dog, kids, fishing pole, jogging shoes, camera, or roller blades.
Hazards:
mosquitos, greenbriar, and poison ivy. Haven't seen any snakes, but it is possible. Do Not Park along Pioneer Parkway (hwy303)
Highlights:
Little bit of nice woods in the middle of the metromess. Nice stream, except when it is flooding!
Recommended bait: corn, on a small hook, for bluegill.
Please don't load this up with cheap plastic crud, try to put a few seconds of thought into what you bring, so it remains fun and cool for everyone.......thanks, and enjoy!
