Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Congers Station Park.

Welcome to Congers Station Park! This cache is a micro container with a log book. Bring your own pencil.

Below is the information from the historic marker: "In 1880 the fledgling Jersey City & Albany Railway Co. completed a track through this area on easement granted by Abraham and Mary Conger, large landholders and prominent citizens. In 1883 a new railroad timetable listed the stop as "Congers." In 1890 the adjourning sturdy sandstone building was created for the West Shore Railroad station which serviced passengers until the 1850's."

This cache has the distinction of the Town of Clarkstown Permit #4.
