Geocache Description:

Come join us for WWFM VI - Child's Play. On November 14, 2009 at precisely 1p.m. geocachers around the globe will join together and flash the world! What does this mean? A flash mob is a group of individuals who join together at a specific location to perform a short lived activity and then disperse quickly. This should leave the general public with a feeling of "what just happened?" and give all of us a good laugh.

Child's Play will take place in Easton at the above coordinates. Please be careful of nearby traffic. When you arrive, do not approach the fountain but stay in the general vicinity. The key is to blend in immediately before and after the flash mob for maximum shock value. When you hear the whistle you will converge on the fountain and form a circle around it. Our goal is to get enough people to form a complete circle around the 50 foot fountain and be able to link hands. Facing the fountain we will rotate counter-clockwise (walk towards your right hand) and we will play a fun game of Ring-Around-The Rosie. We will sing the song three times. The third time we say "we all fall down" everyone will fall to the ground and freeze. We will stay frozen for 2 mintues. A whistle will sound to let you know it's time to un-freeze and disperse quickly.

In order to stay with the true flash mob style, we want everyone to converge, sing, play dead and leave immediately. No stopping for photos or log books. Instead, we will have volunteers on site to get photos and video during the event. Before you arrive please write down your name and your gc.com name on a piece of paper. On your way to the fountain you'll need to quickly find one of the individuals holding a bucket. Drop your paper in the bucket and proceed to the fountain. Feel free to also write trackables on your paper. We are happy to compile a list for attendees.

You are welcom to stay and enjoy a day of shopping and food. We only ask that you are not in the immediate area of the fountain directly before and after the event.

There is a cache at the event location. In cooperation with the cache owner (thank you Twin Pistols) we are asking that you not seek that cache from 12:30pm-1:30pm on the day of the event. There are a few other geocaches in close proximity.

Run Down:
1:00-Whistle Blows
1:00-1:02-Approach fountain & drop your name in a bucket, form a circle and link hands if possible
1:02-1:03-Walking counter-clockwise sing Ring-Around-The Rosie 3 times. The third time you say "we all fall down" you drop to the ground and freeze
1:05-whistle blows, please leave the area immediately
1:06-find your vehicle and report to the additional waypoint for social time

This event is open to anyone of any age. Please bring your kids, your grandma's and your friends. The more the merrier!

Feel free to email any questions you may have. We look forward to flashing with you!

** DO NOT forget to have your name and the names of those in your group written down prior to the event. This will give us an accurate count of those who attended. Only those who have submitted their name(s) may post attended logs.

The words to the song that we will sing 3 times:
Ring around the rosie
Pocket full of posies
Ashes, Ashes
We all fall down

11/9/09 UPDATE: If you have trackables for trading please post a note so that others may get in touch and make arrangements.
