A Travel Bug Hotel located just off exit 62 in Hood River.
REMEMBER - A BUG HOTEL NEEDS OCCUPANTS. IF YOU TAKE ONE PLEASE LEAVE AT LEAST ONE.
Located at the site of the old Crag Rats hut. The Crag Rats were a mountain search and rescue group founded in 1926. The hut was located here from the 30's until 1967. All that remains now is the chimney. I can remember visiting the place when it was still in all it's glory. I think a lot of the ground the hut was on disappeared when they put in the freeway.
Get off at exit 62 of I-84 and head east to the gas station closest to the exit. At the present time it is a Union 76. Just east of gas station there is a parking area and a road heading up the hill. It is about a 2 minute walk to the cache site. There is some poison oak in the area but you have to go looking for it.
Cache is a large lock and lock with TBs, geocoins and some other goodies.
