Registration, cost, rules and more information is available on the Possum Trot Orienteering Club Website. Pre-registration is required so we can make up the packets you need for the event. If you can not pre-register please send me an email and I will pre-register for you.
This is a timed competition and you will be given 3 hours to find as many caches as you can. The caches will consist of easy to hard traditional, micro, puzzle, and multi-caches. A spreadsheet will be provided at registration to show the name, type, difficulty and coordinates of each cache.
You may search for the caches as a team or as an individual.
You will be expected to download a GPX file prior to the event and load the waypoints into your GPS prior to event registration. The course area will be off-limits prior to your assigned start time. The GPX file will contain descriptions, hints and coordinates for each event cache.
A detailed color map of the park will be provided.
The winners and all results will be posted on the Possum Trot Orienteering Club Website. Look for the "Meet Results" Button and the Prairie Center Event.
You can claim a "Find" on geocaching.com for each cache you find as a part of this event. Cache finds with an incorrect punch CAN NOT be claimed as a find on geocaching.com. Please log all cache finds on Steve's LOTEC Cache Page. Please provide the waypoint name with each found post. You can also claim one "Attended" for this event on this webpage in addition to all the caches you claim on Steve's LOTEC page.
