A travel bug hotel is a cache designed to ease the problems of travel bugs entering and exiting the country. It is a notebook and travel bug only cache. You may bag it without a travel bug if you so wish but there are no giz-its to swap out. If you are depositing a travel bug please describe in the notebook what you would like to happen to it.
The Lawrence is a superior Travel Bug Hotel serving Riyadh International Airport.
To find the hotel from the direction of the airport. Take the main exit road from the airport. At the junction N24° 55.949; E46° 42.863 take the exit signposted Private Aviation. At the end of the slip road turn right (do not turn left towards Private Aviation). You will pass the airport hotel The Sahara on your left. Keep going until your reach the traffic lights at N24° 55.111; E46° 41.770. Go straight across. At the end of the road you will see some bollards and the main road swings right towards a compound. You need to go left of the bollards and follow the tarmac road. Keep following the tarmac road until it ends at N24° 54.400; E46° 41.317. It turns into a hard track (very driveable for 2WD) for 150m where you will come to a pile of rocks that hides the cache. As you might expect of a superior hotel it has many entrances. The posh one, the one you should use, is on the far side of the rock pile. A small bush is growing out of the grand entrance. Bag the cache. To get back on route you can either retrace your steps to the main airport road or turn right at the traffic lights. This road merges with main airport road at N24° 53.785; E46° 42.783.
To find the hotel from Riyadh. Take the main airport road. At the junction N24° 53.785; E46° 42.783. take the left fork sign posted ¡§Support Area¡¨. Keep going until your reach the traffic lights at N24° 55.111; E46° 41.770. Turn left. At the end of the road you will see some bollards and the main road swings right towards a compound. You need to go left of the bollards and follow the tarmac road. Keep following the tarmac road until it ends at N24° 54.400; E46° 41.317. At the junction N24° 55.797; E46° 43.057 turn left, sign posted ¡§Terminals¡¨ and this puts you back onto the main airport road.
