December 19, 2009 by w_bovine (3776 found) Final cache of the day. Whew! What a climb. Thing was...I STILL had to get to Tri Peaks and down the other side! And it was already nearing 4 o'clock. As it turned out I had to travel a significant distance in the dark. And the trail on the north side is very hard to spot in numerous places. I had sense enough to bring a headlamp, but being out on the trail after dark is usually a bad idea. The last thing I want to meet up with is a hungry kitty cat! Time to really get moving now! October 27, 2009 by dbir (1114 found) Well, I came out here to get the SMMHA caches in this area. But half way through the day -- before I got to "Inspiration Point" & "Sandstone Peak" (both virtual caches) -- my camera broke (in pieces). Bummer. So came up with a Plan B, which involved going after all the Spinal Tap caches, down to Henry's Cache (which is a two-fer!). This cache was my start. I like this hide, probably because it's different from most. Sometimes, less is more. TFTC. View This Log

June 14, 2009 by VCTrails (2182 found) One of my fellow hikers picked this up, thinking someone had left trash on the trail. When he had it in hand, he realized it was the cache! Starting at Newbury Park, the Outdoorsclub.org hike took the Western Ridge Trail for a very brief stop at Boney Summit, then on to Tripeaks for some exploring and lunch. From there we took the Chamberlain, Old Boney and Blue Canyon Trails back to Sycamore canyon and then up to the cars. TFTC! View This Log
