March 18, 2003: trail is under water for a short distance near the beginning but if you bring your waders you can make it through. We crossed the steam by throwing a log across and using our bikes for support to walk across the log. The cache is dry and in good shape. You may be able to find another way around. Watch for thorny vines if you leave the trail.
Turn off of Capital Circle SE onto Shumard Oak Blvd. Take first right off Shumard Oak Blvd. Park in "Employee Parking" lot behind Fla. Dept. Of Community Affaris. It is hidden along the "State Office Complex Nature Trail".
Cache is a gray, plastic box with brown paint and 'geo cache" in black letters. It contains a log book, pen and pencil. Original items include: cassette tape, humor book, "Mummy" magnet, MP3 CD, olympic pin, key chains, clown pin and other small items. Use the 2002/2003 date book (left by a helpful cacher) to log your visit.
Follow the coordiantes along the trail walking about 1/2 mile. Your GPS may point off the trail, but stay on the path until you are about 100 feet from the cache location. At this point you will have to leave the trail to get to the site. I got several different and varied readings so I will give a few details with more hints below. The box is half buried and covered with pine cones, about 8 feet off the east side of the jeep road along a barbed wire fence, in-between several pine trees.
