Welcome to our first
published Multi Cache, located within Mobara Park, Mawson
Lakes.
From the Salisbury Council
website the three concrete sculptures by Marijana Tadic
“symbolise a balance between our inner needs such as
tranquillity and comfort versus material abundance and economic
progress.
The work makes references to North and South
as two different hemispheres, and East and West as two cultures
that have evolved from different traditions but share similar
values, aspirations and design principles.
The work is inspired by geometric simplicity
which reveals a subtlety and richness in spatial articulation. It
derives from circular forms that share the serenity and clarity
characteristic to traditional Japanese architecture.
The sculptures are placed over the gentle
curved mound, designed to evoke a sense of movement or rolling
effect.”
The bronze statue of a
Japanese boy is titled Nakayoshi and was a gift from the
people of Mobara City, Japan.
Bring lunch or tea, a book,
pillow, rug if it's cold, hat if it’s sunny to enjoy the final
location. You may even be able to nod off whilst logging the
cache.
At the given waypoint,
double the day in October that Mobara Park was officially opened
and add two. Head that number of metres North, where you’ll find an
English word.
Using the simple
translation of A=1, B=2, C=3 etc, the final cache can be located
at:
S 34°48.(600+First letter)
E138°36.(874+Last letter)
Don’t skip straight to a
likely end location, as the short walk is to relax you, ready for a
rest.
Cache is a small container
containing log, pencil, a cache guardian, something for the FTF and
some vouchers for nearby and northern cafes.
Enjoy having a
rest.
Cheers
