Geocache Description:

Located in Scotts Valley at the former Sky Park Airport, which is now occupied by homes and a nice city park. For history buffs Sky Park Airport was in operation from February 1947 to January 1983. It began as a private airfield and was annexed to the City of Santa Cruz in 1964 who wanted it to become more than a recreational airport. That never happened.

You will be traveling on a paved bicycle route with a view of nearby mountains on one side and the backyards of homes on the other. Do not come after dark and be watchful of occasional foot/bike traffic and perhaps someone looking out a window.

Look for a 35mm film cannister at the above coordinates and bring a writing tool as none is provided.(Replacement of 2-5-05 includes small pencil)

This is a bike path our family frequents and we think you will enjoy it too. It is our second cache to place.


PARK RULES: Dogs allowed on leash, no motor vehicles on bike route, no smoking. Open sunrise to 1/2 hour past sunset.
