This is the location of the first Geo-Woodstock which was held in Louisville, KY on June 21, 2003. Though the event page is archived, you can still view it at GCG03E. Approximately 80 people attended the event.
Everyone brought their own lunch for the event, but drinks, campground food, and tent sites were provided for free. There was no registration fee.
Show Me The Cache selected this site because it is easily accessible, free, offers a playground for the kids, and has very convenient parking. Also, beneath the interstate overpasses would have provided shelter in case of rain. Luckily, it was a perfect day.
This was the first time that many of us had met each other. SMTC had the honor of presenting Deermark with his gold ammo box as he joined the "1000 Club" that day.
