Geocache Description:

A fantastic walk out into the Kyles of Bute close to the island of Inchmarnock

You should park carefully at N55 48.739 W005 07.466, unless you have a 4x4 (or don't care about your suspension) where N55 48.593 W005 07.704 is closer.

The Point is accessible at all times -except on the rarest of high tides. You might want to visit the 6th century chapel, before picking up the cache which is hidden some distance away (just in case the Vikings come back!!)

The "Abandoned Mines" shown on the attributes list are in fact wells, or more correctly, freshwater sumps. They're not too deep, but you dont want to go walking into them! They are at N55 48.224 W5 08.228 and N55 48.214 W5 08.250

As for the "Wading" -thats only going to be at spring tide!

Allow at least half an hour for this cache. The cache is hidden beyond the well in a small crevice in the rock.

The cache is a metal ammo box clearly marked "GEOCACHE"
